Education
Dr. Ficca, a native of Maryland, graduated Cum Laude from Wake Forest University in 1996. He immediately entered Temple University Dental School, where he was a member of both the Oral Surgery and Stomatognathic honor societies. Upon completion of dental school, Dr. Ficca continued his education as a General Practice Resident at East Carolina University – Brody School of Medicine.
He practiced and gained valuable experience as a general dentist for three years in Fairfax, Virginia. In 2004 he chose to further his education at Virginia Commonwealth University – Medical College of Virginia, where he completed a three-year fellowship in the field of Periodontics and Dental Implants. Dr. Ficca is trained and certified to provide oral and intravenous conscious sedation.
Personal Life
Dr. Ficca lives in Charlotte with his wife Kate, who is a Charlotte native and their two girls. When not practicing his passion for periodontics, Dr. Ficca enjoys fly fishing, tennis, traveling, quality family time, and playing frisbee with his 2 Australian Shepherds.
